Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Join CodePINK Caravan to D.C.

TEN years.

There is so much to say about 10 years. The first glorious 10 years of a child's life, from infancy to that last sweetness of the 10 year old age! The span of a child's education kindergarten thru to beginning senior high, K-9th. All teenagers, the targets of military propaganda, living more years of their short lives with the U.S. at wars than at peace. About three years longer than the average (straight) marriage in the U.S.

A decade.

10 years of bombing, rape, gunfire, torture. 10 years of starvation, fear, filthy or no water, depleted uranium kicking around, moment-to-moment violence.

10 years of military occupation by foreign U.S. troops, funded by U.S. tax dollars, supplied by young U.S. bodies, congressional votes, media shill. And fueled by we the people's apathy.

10 years of hurting people. 10 years of huge corporate profits for oil companies, weapons companies, private contractors.

10 years of most our U.S. lives and life styles going on as usual. Pretty much so.

This October, 2011, will you choose to stop your life as usual - for a week, a month, a day, a life-time - and come to Washington D.C., to Freedom Plaza, to occupy the plaza?

Join the CodePINK Caravan, driving from the San Francisco Bay Area thru to Washington, D.C. Lead or follow the truck, hook up for a day, an hour, a week!
Come to the Caravan Planning Gathering on Sunday, September 25th 1pm at Flaco's Restaurant, 3031 Adeline St, Berkeley. If you are along the route, or know folks along the route, call 510-540-7007 or email to join up, help organize an event in your town, for more information.

Welcome the caravan to your city, town, country village! Gather your friends, allies, comadres together for a NO DRONES presentation with an ENOUGH WAR rally!

Let's protest together! Hold banners on a busy corner or over a freeway overpass!

If you are local, come to the planning gathering on Sunday, September 25th 1pm at Flaco's Restaurant, 3031 Adeline St, Berkeley. Join us to say we, as U.S. Americans, care so much, about our youth, about our country, about our lives, our planet, about our tax dollars, that we are willing to put our 'normal' lives aside, to make the huge sacrifices, in order to STAND - unencumbered with our own daily lives - against the horrific continuation of this occupation of Afghanistan.

If not for our own children growing up with the U.S. as military occupiers of Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. bombing Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, then for the children of those countries who will not get to kindergarten or 9th grade - who will not get to live if we do not stop our country from continuing these vicious attacks.

PLEASE seriously consider coming to D.C. - by caravan, bus, train, bike - and if you are able and willing, please contribute to ensure the CodePINK truck and caravan gets across the country! Send donations to CodePINK, 2715 Benvenue Ave, #2, Berkeley, CA 94705.

You can also go to october2011.org and sign-up with the thousands of others who are committed to coming to D.C. AND you can check out the local actions, or start your own local action, should you decide not to come to D.C.

***Special THANKS to awesome artist and CodePINKer Phoebe Ackley, for the wonderful mural and paint job she did for this caravan to D.C.***

In Solidarity and action,
